THE BOOK OF PAPER

THE BOOK OF PAPER
OLIVER HEILFRICH & ANTJE PETERS
I saw this book in the making, and heard the stories how the cat attacked the paper models. Finally the book was complete. Antje and Oliver made such a beautiful and delicate book that I am almost afraid to touch it.
TELL MUM EVERYTHING IS OK

TELL MUM EVERYTHING IS OK
FREDERIC PIERRE & CAMILLE FRANCOISE
Not sure who gave me this book, not sure if i really like it, but with one exception, I like the title.
SNOWMANN

SNOWMANN
STUDIO ACHERMANN
Kaethi, a true Swiss, gave me this book, it is the funniest collection of snowmen I have ever seen!
ROBERT MULLER TEKENINGEN

ROBERT MULLER TEKENINGEN
STEDELIJK MUSEUM AMSTERDAM
This time I bought the catalogue for the drawings and not because it was designed by Wim Crouwel. Funnily enough it is also displayed in the Design Museum in Breda, not that it would make me like it more.
SUCCULENTEN

SUCCULENTEN IN BEELD EN WOORD
G D DUURSMA
I found this book in Antwerp, to add to my Flora collection. The cover made the biggest impression with its almost cactus like texture.
ANGELA DAVIS, CHE GUEVARA, DUBCEK

ANGELA DAVIS, ERNESTO CHE GUEVARA, DUBCEK
KOSMOSTORY
The truth is I only bought these for the covers and I especially like the Angela Davis cover.
NEW ALPHABETS A TO Z

NEW ALPHABETS A TO Z
HERBERT SPENCER AND COLIN FORBES
This disregarded book sat in the children’s section. Nobody noticed that it had the coolest collection of type.
MUSEUM OF COMPLAINT

MUSEUM OF COMPLAINT, NEW YORK CITY
MATTHEW BAKKOM
I saw this book posted on Design Observer, it is a collection of 132 letters of complaint written to the Mayor of New York between 1751 and 1969. I liked the idea of this book so much I ordered two. I gave one away and the other I keep sealed.
MIRO

MIRO
STEDELIJK MUSEUM AMSTERDAM
Although there are hundreds of publications about Miro, I always find it hard to find one that I really like. The more popular the artist the harder to find the perfect monograph, unless you are looking for something with a gloss laminated cover that pulls at the corners, filled with full bleed images stretched to the format of the book.
