I used to work next door to a pigeon trainer, every morning he would talk to the team as if they were about to go through a top secret military operation, who knows if the pigeons understood a single word. When I found this book I was curious if the trainer had hundreds of these stacked next to his bed. I never dared to ask.

A book printed in the authors blood. If you don’t believe me then look at Underware.nl the design collective who published this book. I heard them talking about this book maybe for more than 2 years. I waited in anticipation, as a designer I became more curious about what it would look like then if I would actually like to read the book. Finally when the book was launched it was perfect and as expected the author sat very pale faced signing books with his own brown blood.

I first heard an excerpt on Typeradio a few years ago and had the book on my list since then. Finally I got round to it last summer, it was 45 degrees outside so there was no choice but to read till it cooled down. I hate to say but I could relate to some of Andy Warhols odd habits and remarks. When I finished the book, I really wished I could of met him in person.
