MIFFY / NINTJE

MIFFY / NINTJE
DICK BRUNA

The Netherlands boasts the largest book market in Europe that takes place in Deventer the first week of August. Apparently if you put all the stalls on one stretch, you will have 6 kilometers of books. I was so overwhelmed with the amount that I think I had an overdose, there was so much, that I didn’t know where to begin. I searched for 6 hours but became more and more indecisive, there was just too much choice, I had to drag myself away without a prize but just as I was leaving I found this book. I was at peace I could go home now.

THE WONDERFUL STORY OF HENRY SUGAR AND SIX MORE
ROALD DAHL

I grew up with Roald Dahl. I read his stories over and over again. What fascinated me the most was that every ending seemed to have a strange twist, which made me read the same story over and over again.

SCHAPEN TELLEN

SCHAPEN TELLEN
HANS VAN DER MEER

Such a simple way to reinterpret a simple idea, and its definitely shot in Holland, completely flat with grey sky!
